Biography

A physician and neurologist devoted to brain health

Dr. K. Shunmuga Sundaram is a Consultant Physician and Neurologist with more than 17 years of clinical experience. Having qualified in General Medicine (MD) before specialising in Neurology (DM), he offers a uniquely holistic understanding of how the brain, nerves and the rest of the body interact — an advantage when diagnosing complex or overlapping problems.

Over the years he has cared for thousands of patients with conditions ranging from stroke, epilepsy and migraine to Parkinson's disease, neuropathy and dementia, as well as everyday medical concerns such as diabetes, hypertension and thyroid disorders.

At Varshini Neuromed Centre, he combines modern in-house diagnostics — EEG, Video-EEG, nerve conduction studies and evoked potentials — with an unhurried, patient-first consulting style, ensuring every patient truly understands their condition and their path to recovery.
